Activator

The activator technique is a widely used method of chiropractic care. The activator method is a “low force” technique that restores proper balance to the spine. A small spring-loaded instrument is used to apply a focused impulse into the dysfunctional segment of the spine. The activator produces a slight thrust which is quicker than the body’s reflexes, allowing the vertebrae in the spine to realign. The force performing the action is derived from the speed of motion and not by an intense force. This type of treatment is preferred by patients who prefer a “low force” technique. Due to the focused nature of the activator method it is well suited for wide range of patients especially pregnant women, babies, toddlers or other small children and seniors.
